“This chorus gives me the opportunity to grow—musically and personally, sharing that with others and watching my friends grow and become women they wouldn’t be otherwise.”
--Chorus Member
“We make sure people have the tools they need for success. We want to sing well but also have fun and service the community.”

Certified Director: Lynne Peirce
Lynne Peirce became the director of the County Connection Chorus in January 2005. A Sweet Adeline since 1985, Lynne brings an array of experience and an abundance of enthusiasm to her role. She recently completed her Sweet Adeline director certification and is one of the few SPEBSQSA-certified female directors in the Barbershop Society, receiving her director certification in 2002.
Lynne is an active performer, competitor, coach and music arranger. She coaches choruses and quartets in the women's and men's organizations and has served as the primary coach for several regional and district champions. Lynne has served the local Sweet Adeline region as Vice Regent, Chapter Coordinator, Administrative Education Coordinator, founder and Director of the Mother-Daughter Chorus and as a member of both the music and administrative faculty. Currently Lynne is on the regional music faculty as a chorus director instructor and organizes and emcees the annual Comedy Ensemble Contest.
Lynne sang bass in the 1991 and 1993 Regional Champion quartet "Accolade", and captured a fourth place finish in 1997 with "Fandangle", where she shared the stage (but gave up the spotlight!) to her then 18 year old daughter Sara Clevenger. Lynne has now met her match for stage antics and pure insanity with her new quartet, "Novelty Shop", whose slogan is "Four Part Comedy in the Barbershop Style". They are favorites of audiences all over the state and highly in demand for performances.
In her professional life, Lynne has "the best job in the world" as a manager of organizational and staff development at the University of Michigan Hospitals. With the precious time she has left, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, and son Nate, daughter Sara, kitties Cinci, Angel and Cali and the world's most spoiled guinea pig, Harriet.
